Activities Guide

As an Activities Guide, you will lead guests in a variety of outdoor adventures and ranch experiences while ensuring the highest level of safety, professionalism, and guest satisfaction. You’ll serve as both storyteller and ambassador, sharing local history, wildlife knowledge, and the ranch’s traditions in a way that brings each activity to life. Key Responsibilities Lead and assist in a variety of daily guest activities such as UTV ranch tours, shooting ranges (pistol and rifle), fishing, rock climbing wall, ranch skills demonstrations, and more. Deliver engaging and informative interpretive experiences that highlight the local landscape, culture, and history. Ensure guest safety through proper instruction and adherence to ranch safety protocols. Operate Retreat vehicles, including UTVs, trucks, and other equipment safely and responsibly for guest transport, activity setup, and logistical support. Conduct routine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance of recreational equipment, UTVs, and gear, report repairs or safety concerns promptly. Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and representing The Retreat with warmth and professionalism. Maintain activity areas, equipment, and trails to the highest standards of safety and appearance. Collaborate with other departments (maintenance, guest services, culinary, stables, housekeeping, spa, etc.) to deliver seamless, memorable guest experiences. Qualifications Experience in outdoor guiding, hospitality, or guest services Strong knowledge of outdoor recreation, local terrain, and safety practices. Proven ability to safely operate and navigate UTVs and trucks on varied terrain. Experience maintaining and caring for outdoor and recreational equipment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Physically fit and able to assist guests and handle gear in varied outdoor conditions.
