The person in this role will create rider-focused content that brings the brand to life across social media, email, web, and digital advertising. Working closely with the VP of Marketing and Marketing Director, you will be one of the primary in-house creative partners shaping how Stages Cycling shows up visually and digitally. You’ll collaborate with photo/video and design contractors, helping guide creative direction and ensuring resources are used effectively to support the broader marketing, communications, and advertising strategy. This role is well suited for a creative storyteller who is passionate about cycling and comfortable working across photo, video, design, and digital marketing. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the Stages Cycling brand and how riders connect with it. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary in-house resource for photo, video, and design at Stages Cycling, supporting brand storytelling across channels. Create compelling visual and digital content that helps drive brand engagement and revenue across multiple mediums. Content may include (but is not limited to): social media, advertising, product launches, educational assets, product storytelling, vlog/documentary-style content, and commercial video. Manage and maintain Stages Cycling’s day-to-day social media presence and digital communications. Write clear, engaging, and brand-aligned copy for social media, email, web, and other digital platforms. Plan, create, publish, and optimize content across social media channels, including community engagement, comment moderation, and performance monitoring. Support the creation and maintenance of website content, including athlete stories, product information and explainers, team updates, and industry partnerships. Organize, manage, and maintain photo and video assets for ongoing brand and marketing use. Manage Stages Cycling’s YouTube and Vimeo channels, ensuring an on-brand, user-focused experience. Travel to events as needed to support marketing initiatives, create on-site content, and manage live social media coverage. Collaborate with the Marketing Director to develop and execute email marketing and paid social media campaigns, including content creation, optimization, performance tracking, and engagement. Design promotional and marketing assets such as sell sheets, promotional materials, and branded swag. Contribute ideas and creative execution to broader marketing strategies and initiatives. Minimum Qualifications Two years of relevant professional experience in photo, video, design, or digital content creation Experience with end-to-end video production, including editing and file management Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma and/or comparable video, photo, and design tools A creative mindset paired with strong planning and execution skills Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadline management Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to travel up to 20%, including occasional weekends Flexibility to work non-standard hours when supporting events or launches Strongly Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Experience with copywriting and social media content strategy Familiarity with social media management platforms and analytics tools General understanding of cycling culture across multiple disciplines (e.g., road, mountain, gravel, indoor cycling, triathlon, cyclocross, track); passion for one or more is a strong plus Perks of Joining SPIA Cycling A mission-driven environment that promotes sustainability, eco-friendly commuting, and healthy living.
