Experienced Grooming Operator

SUMMARY Experienced Snowcat Operator: Operate Prinoth Snowcats to maintain alpine ski trails.  Assist the Grooming Supervisor in the daily responsibilities of the grooming staff.  Offer guests safes, skiable, desirable and fun terrain possible.  A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.      Fulfill all duties of Grooming Operator. 2.      Complete routine grooming tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. 3.      Ability to complete special projects, traverse maintenance, trail grading, and detail work with quality results. 4.      Assist with coordinating the grooming staff according to workload and weather conditions. 5.      Lead other grooming operators in all phases of grooming as necessary. 6.      Monitor, maintain and proactively improve trail conditions.  Report problem areas to superior. 7.      Assist with training & development of other operators. 8.      Set example by maintaining a safe working environment by following company policies, proper training and orientation. 9.      Accept emergency assignments as required for successful mountain operations. 10. Operation of blade, tiller, and winch with skill & finesse. 11. Night shift working hours include holidays & weekends. Some job sharing may be required. RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guests. Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay. Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor. Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
