Fly Fishing and Mountain Biking Guide

We are seeking a versatile individual to guide both fly fishing and mountain biking activities. As these activities are not offered daily, this role combines both responsibilities and requires flexibility to assist in other departments as needed. Mountain Biking Responsibilities: Guide guests of varying experience levels on a wide range of trails and terrain, tailoring rides to suit beginners, intermediate, and advanced riders. Fit guests to the appropriate bikes and provide instruction to enhance their riding skills. Conduct safety briefings and ensure all guests are prepared and comfortable before rides. Maintain a calm, patient, and guest-focused demeanor to deliver excellent customer service. Safely guide groups and confidently navigate diverse trail systems. Uphold safety standards and ensure guest safety at all times. Maintain the bikes, ensure all equipment is clean and functional, and keep the bike shop organized and tidy. Drive a passenger van with a hitch and trailer to transport bikes and guests to and from excursions. Fly Fishing Responsibilities: Provide guidance and instruction to guests of all skill levels, including beginners. Maintain and organize the fly shop, keeping equipment clean and ready for use. Demonstrate knowledge of fly tying and fly fishing techniques to assist guests effectively. Ensure safety standards are met during all fishing excursions. Additional Responsibilities: Assist with other ranch activities when not guiding biking or fishing, including but not limited to: ATV tours Kids’ programs Paintball Nighttime activities Hiking excursions Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure seamless guest experiences. Qualifications: Strong knowledge and experience in both mountain biking and fly fishing. Ability to organize and maintain the fly shop and bike shop.
