About This Role

Currently looking for enthusiastic trip leaders who are passionate about working with neurodivergent youth in the outdoors for the 2026 summer season in WYOMING! Based in Dubois, Wyoming, Eagle View Ranch is SOAR's western basecamp for 17-day expedition-style adventures during the summer season. Programs are co-ed with a max of eight students supervised by two Field Staff. A course director and/or an activity specialist may also be helping out depending on the activity. Activities include rock climbing, whitewater rafting, canoeing, backpacking, horseback riding, archery and hatchet throwing, and exploring nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and the Wind River Range. SOAR provides room and board for the summer season, and all staff participate in extensive, hands-on trainings led by professionals in the recreation and human services fields. Wilderness First Aid, Lifeguard, and Behavioral First Responder certifications are also provided. Responsibilities include: Field Staff are responsible for supervising and ensuring the safety of students 24/7 while leading expeditionary-style courses. They manage daily logistics and activities, facilitate the development of life skills, establish group dynamics, navigate behavioral situations, collaborate with course directors, parents, and fellow staff, and write camper progress notes using a strengths-based approach. Field staff should demonstrate maturity, integrity, organizational skills, and FUN! Have Questions?
