Kids Counselor – Majestic Dude Ranch Season: Summer 2026 Location: Mancos, Colorado — nestled in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado Compensation: Hourly wage (discussed at hiring) + tips Room & Board: Staff housing and all utilities included. About the Role Kids Counselors play a key role in creating an active, engaging, and fun program for children ages 3–17. Our counselors are responsible for planning and leading age-appropriate activities that cater to a variety of interests and energy levels, ensuring every child has a safe and memorable experience. This is a dynamic, hands-on role. Kids Counselors also serve as floaters, assisting in other ranch departments — including lodge operations, housekeeping, activities, and guiding — whenever needed. Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential. Primary Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage with children at all times, ensuring safety, fun, and involvement in planned activities. Plan, coordinate, and lead weekly activities tailored to children’s ages and interests, including arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, nature walks, kayaking, fishing, kids' ATV and bike rides, movie nights, and much more. Assist with the setup and breakdown of daily and evening activities. Collaborate with other staff to ensure activities run smoothly, adapting plans as needed. Update parents on the day’s events and respond to their questions or concerns. Maintain all program equipment, ensuring proper storage, cleanliness, and working condition.
