We operate 9 shops plus an Ice Cream shop downtown Bar Harbor and 1 other shop in a neighboring town, Southwest Harbor. We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. This is a very hands on role, you will be the one to ensure that all buildings, equipment and fixturing are in good working order. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the operations. Maintenance Manager responsibilities include: Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues Build and maintain retail fixturing and displays Help Plan and oversee repair and installation activities with outside contractors Time management in completion of task in a self motivated role Monitor expenses for maintenance Research and order parts as needed within budget Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Communicating regularly regarding problems or issues Oversee the efficient operation of utilities, including water, electricity, and HVAC systems Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept clean The ideal candidate has a base knowledge of building maintenance and repair but is eager to learn and comfortable in a busy environment.
