About This Role
Reporting to the Assistant Camp Director of Programs, the Nature Director is responsible for planning, directing and supervising the campβs nature and recycling program. Pay is $400 per week, including meals and housing. FLSA Section 13(a)(3) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Training and/or experience in nature, environmental or outdoor education. Ability to set up programs and teach skills to staff and campers of all ages. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors. Ability to accept guidance and supervision. Must be a minimum age of 19 Good character, integrity, and adaptability. Current Driverβs License and good driving record. College students preferred. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Set up nature program for all age levels of Zanika campers. Assist and participate in all "All Camp" activities. Assist counselors & unit directors in scheduling nature time for cabins. Review and set up camp's recycling program, monitor recycling areas, keep neat and clean. Fill in for counselors watching cabin group for counselor time off. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required. Evaluate nature programs and activities. Promptly complete camp evaluations. Participate in weekly staff meetings. Other duties as assigned/reassigned.
