Location: Denali, Alaska Job Type: Seasonal, 5 months Property Type: Small, family-owned motel/hotel Staff Size: Approximately 13 employees Reports To: Complex Denali GM Salary Position JL Hospitality Property Job Overview The Hotel Operations Manager plays a hands-on leadership role in the daily operation of our small, mom-and-pop motel/hotel located in the heart of Denali. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a close-knit environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and takes pride in keeping both guests and the property well cared for. The ideal candidate brings strong hospitality experience, excellent guest service skill. Our property operates on a private well, so comfort with basic water system monitoring and coordination is preferred. This is a working manager role, not a desk-only position. This role is seasonal, 5 months per year, and could potentially lead to year round opportunities for the right person. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Front Office Ensure a warm, welcoming guest experience from check-in through departure Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally Support front desk operations, reservations, and daily reporting as needed Uphold high standards of hospitality reflective of an authentic Denali experience Property Oversight Monitor and manage the property’s well water system, including basic checks and coordination with vendors when needed Conduct regular property walks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality Communicate maintenance needs clearly and proactively to ownership Team Leadership & Operations Supervise and support a small team across departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance) Assist with scheduling, training, and daily task coordination Lead by example in a hands-on, respectful, and team-oriented manner Foster a positive work environment in a small, seasonal operation Administrative & Operational Support Assist with inventory control and ordering of supplies Support basic budgeting and cost-c
