Yellowstone Park Service Stations (YPSS) offers some of the best summer jobs in Yellowstone working as a Retail Associate (cashier) at one of our seven gas station/convenience store locations. Retail Associates are primarily responsible for the quick, efficient, friendly, and accurate check out of our customers. As a Retail Associate you are on the front line of contact with park visitors, providing exceptional customer service and presenting a positive image of both YPSS and Yellowstone. If hired for this position, you must provide proper documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States and be willing to undergo a background and employment reference check. Skills, Abilities, Experience, & Training Required: Must be 18 years of age or older . One year of experience beyond the high school level is required. Exceptional customer service skills including a professional and pleasant attitude both on and off duty with visitors and team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, location management, and main office personnel. Ability to work adaptively in varying levels of business, from periods of fast-paced & high-volume customer traffic to slower times where individual initiative is required to complete mandatory daily tasks. Retail and cashiering experience are not required but preferred. Comfortable operating computer-based systems including touchscreen point of sale registers and programs including Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to work outdoors for short periods in a wide range of weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to physically stand for periods up to four hours long . Ability and willingness to learn and share accurate park information with visitors. Daily Job Activities,
