River Guide

New Wave Adventures, a rafting company near Denali National Park, is looking for an experienced and customer-friendly person to join our team as a Class 3-4 Rafting Tour Guide. As a key member of our team, you'll be leading exciting river trips on the Nenana River, making sure our guests have a safe and fun time. Housing only $8.00 dollars a day! May 15 trough September 15 Discounts and complimentary passes to festivals and local excursions. What you'll do: Lead and guide Class 3-4 rafting trips on the Nenana River, giving guests a safe and unforgettable experience Give safety instructions before the trip, teaching guests about rafting techniques, safety procedures, and how to use equipment like Dry suits. Everyone must wear a Drysuit Provide awesome customer service during the trip, talking with guests, answering questions, and making sure they're comfortable and happy Navigate the river skillfully, steering the raft through rapids and obstacles while keeping everyone safe Communicate clearly with guests and other guides, giving clear instructions and coordinating the group's movements on the river Share cool facts about the area's history, wildlife, and natural wonders, making the trip educational and adventurous Help guests in and out of rafts safely, making sure they have the right gear and checking equipment for repairs Stay calm and professional in emergencies, following safety rules and keeping guests and crew safe Work with other guides and staff to make sure each trip runs smoothly and keep equipment clean and organized Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards to keep guests safe and satisfied Keep good records of trip details, incidents, and guest interactions, and write reports when needed What you need: At least one season working as a rafting tour guide on Class 3-4 rivers Skilled at leading paddle crew trips, non paddle oar boats with great knowledge of river dynamics, swift water rescue techniques, and raft-handling skil
