Assist in the daily operations of the store including opening and closing procedures, restocking, cleaning, organizing, and merchandising. Maintain knowledge of current products, industry trends, promotions, and policies. Become an expert on all brands and services that Absolute Bikes offers as well as the differences in competitors’ products. Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care to customers. Answer customer queries regarding the local area, riding conditions, and anything else riding/trail related. Provide one-of-a-kind customer service through a positive attitude and direct, detailed interaction with customers. Assist in managing the general info email account by interacting with customers to determine their needs, guiding them to the products and services that best suit them. Focus on exceeding customer expectations and sales goals. Contribute to shop culture and promote team camaraderie. Assist with bike demo program; prepare and set up demo bikes, deliver next-level service to demo clients, provide guidance to customers participating in demo program. Other duties as needed/assigned. Qualifications: Previous experience with consultative sales (bicycle industry preferred). Mountain biking experience required. Gravel/adventure cycling experience is a plus. Ability to work in a team environment committed to providing an excellent sales and customer service experience. Ability to maintain open and positive relations with customers and coworkers. Ability to determine solutions for customers – consultative sales approach. Knowledge of bikes and bike-related products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer, social media, and business administration skills. Strong interest in further developing bike industry skills and knowledge. A proactive and positive attitude. A passion for riding! Working Conditions: Absolute Bikes is located in the Central Rocky Mountains of Colorado and is a seasonal/tourism-based business. The schedule for employees can often be flexible during the shoulder seasons, but a full-time status is mandatory April through September. Pay Range: $20-$25/hr Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience. Flexible shoulder season hours. Annual ski pass – eligible with a full summer season of work and following season commitment. Annual shop bike – eligible after the first 6 months of employment. Shop bike selection will be approved by Owner/Manager. Shop bikes are returned to Absolute Bikes by Sept 30 every season.
