Summary: The Tram Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for of all phases of tramway maintenance activity and the performance of journeyman level electrical and/or mechanical work. Oversees practices that determine the aerial tramway is operational, and that all aerial tramway maintenance personnel are trained, equipped, and capable of performing their duties for public operation. Constantly monitoring factors affecting the safe and efficient operation of tramway cars and the control center. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Responsible for ensuring that all required maintenance and repair work is performed by staff and/or contractors in accordance with state and local operational codes, ANSI B-77 code and manufacturer’s specifications. Performs journey level electrical and/or mechanical work which includes troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing or rebuilding mechanical components or electrical systems; uses and supervises the use of tools per manufacturers’ instructions and specifications. Supervises the maintenance and repair work performed by maintenance personnel and contractors, after troubleshooting and determining exactly what corrective work, methods, resources are needed. Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all tramway structures and systems; expedites all materials needed to do preventative maintenance or repairs. Provides training for maintenance staff in standby operations, generator operations and rescue car lift evacuations; participates in emergency lift evacuation upon notification by the General Manager.
