About This Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Programs, the Waterfront Director is responsible for planning, directing and supervising Camp Zanika's Waterfront Program. Pay is $450 per week, includes meals and housing. FLSA Section 13(a)(3) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Training and experience in waterfront activities and management. Current Water Safety Instructors Certificate and/or Lifeguard training from the American Red Cross, YMCA, BSA, or H20 Pro Current CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to schedule and supervise staff. At least 21 years of age. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up waterfront area during staff training. Teach staff their responsibilities in waterfront activities during staff training. Teach and monitor the proper use of equipment. Conduct initial and end-of-season inventory and store equipment for safety. Check equipment and make (or request) repairs. Conduct daily check of area and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair. Award recognition and participation certificates for special events. Evaluate aquatics abilities of staff and campers. Plan and work with others during special events. Assist in packing all materials and supplies at the end of the season. Evaluate current season and make suggestions for the following season. These are not the only duties to be performed. Duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required
