Turpin Meadow Ranch is seeking dedicated, hardworking Horseback Wranglers to safely guide guests on horseback and care for and manage our herd. This role is ideal for individuals with strong horsemanship skills, a commitment to guest experience, and the grit and mindset required for long, rewarding days in a true ranch environment. Wrangling at Turpin is not a casual riding job; it’s a position of trust, responsibility, and pride. What You’ll Do Safely guide guests on horseback rides, ensuring a professional, positive, and confidence-building experience Establish respectful relationships with guests while maintaining clear leadership and safety standards Brush, saddle, and care for up to 30 horses during early morning preparations Feed, water, and monitor the herd daily Maintain and repair fences, pastures, and horse facilities Identify and help prevent injuries to both horses and guests Provide basic first aid and minor vetting for injured or ill horses Remain calm, professional, and adaptable when unexpected situations arise Support additional ranch and operational tasks as requested by management Schedule & Pay Competitive seasonal pay based on experience Full-time seasonal position 5-day work week FREE employee housing provided Eligible for end-of-season performance bonus Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Minimum of 3–5 years of Western riding experience Demonstrated confidence in handling horses in a working ranch environment Ability to safely saddle, lead, and manage horses and guest riders Physical strength, endurance, and mental stamina for long days Willingness to work early morning
